Federal government hosts national summit on Islamophobia
The federal government is hosting a national summit on Islamophobia, following a series of hate crimes targeting Muslims across Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to do more, but there are concerns his words won't translate into action. A professor on Islamic Studies at the University of Toronto says the government needs to acknowledge its role in perpetuating Islamophobia in Canada.
