Things like taxes, credit scores, savings and loans can be a minefield for young adults who were never taught about how to navigate the financial world in school. That’s why finance experts are urging Massachusetts to teach all of this to kids in school and Mass. Rep. Ryan Hamilton has introduced a bill that would mandates financial literacy classes for schools in the state. He joins host Crystal Haynes along with Julie Beckham, Rockland Trust’s Financial Education Officer, and Jimmy Merino, a student at Chelsea High School. Then, local independent bookstores have seen a bit of a resurgence after years of downsizing due to big-box retailers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
